I Hide In Logic
Sunday, February 28th, 2010Tonight my world is discreet. I visit logic, where what is not specified does not exist. Here I know what to expect. Problems here have solutions, and solutions are cascades of states and conditions, impossible to comprehend, but verifiable nonetheless. This place is safe.
But it is cold in logic. There is no place for emotion or perception, connotation or implication. There are no ratty teddy bears to clutch or walls to punch. Nobody walks in the rain or shouts at the sky, or climbs a tree just to climb back down. There are no humans here.
Tonight I visit logic, because I need a break from the confusion and the disorder, the flighty whims of extroverts and the infinite secrets of introverts. I need a place that makes sense.
But I’ll be back. It gets lonely here.
